HOW TO COME TO HIGHLANDER
FLYING FROM ZAGREB:
The most cost-effective and optimal flight option:
- Ryanair - Departing Tuesday, July 1 and returning Monday, July 7
- Price: £118 (without luggage), £176 (with a 20kg checked bag)
- Departure & arrival Airport: London Stansted
Other direct flight options to London Heathrow:

GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT TO LONDON EUSTON STATION:
If arriving at London Stansted (Ryanair flight):
- Take the Stansted Express train to Tottenham Hale (~45 minutes)
- Transfer to the London Underground (Victoria Line) and travel to Euston Station (~15 minutes)
Cost: From £14 one way (when booked in advance)
Total travel time: Just under 1 hour
GOING FROM LONDON TO LAKE DISTRICT (Penrith Station):
- Board a fast train from London Euston to Penrith
- Duration: ~3 hours
- Train Features: High-speed, Wi-Fi, laptop charging outlets
- Price: From £33.50 (tickets available 3 months in advance)
Important: There are multiple trains daily, but some make extra stops. Choose the direct service (3 hours travel time) for the fastest journey.
GETTING FROM PENRITH TO PARK FOOT HOLIDAY PARK (Event Start location):
- FREE Shuttle Service from Penrith to Park Foot Holiday Park organized by HIGHLANDER.
Reservation required: Contact us via email (uk@highlanderadventure.com) in advance to secure your spot as spaces are limited.
- or take a bus 508 from Main Penrith Station, you will drive 20min, and than 20 min walk.
The bus it leaving at the earliest at 07:36, so if you decide to choose this option, we recommend staying closer the Pooley Bridge or taking the taxi in the morning from Penrith (20min drive).
ARRIVING BY CAR
We are a sustainable and environmentally friendly event so If you can car share or get public transport into the start venue this is preferred.
Keep in mind that the Park Foot Holiday Park has limited space in parking lots.
Since parking is available only at the finish, there will be special transport provided from the parking lot to the start.
If you are arriving by car, we recommend parking it at Park Foot Holiday Park, Pooley bridge, where the HIGHLANDER finish will take place.
TRANSPORT TO THE START
As the start is not at the same place as the On-site check-in for HIGHLANDER Pegasus format, the Organiser is providing transport buses for that format.
- Participants of the HIGHLANDER Hercules format will start & finish at the Park Foot Holiday Park, due to the circular route
- HIGHLANDER Pegasus participants will be transferred from the Park Foot Holiday Park to the starting point at the Stool End Farm, Langdale
- HIGHLANDER Lyra participants will be transferred from the Park Foot Holiday Park to the starting point at the Low Bridge Farm End
- Participants will be notified if they're in the transfer group 1 or 2 before the event.
- Transportation takes approx. 1.5 hour from the parking to the starting point
CAMPING AT THE REGISTRATION SITE
PARK FOOT HOLIDAY PARK
Camp at the Park Foot Holiday Park before the event close to the location of the Start/Pickup location for HIGHLANDER Lake District.
Go to their website and do the following:

- Submit dates you want to book
Both the Euseriggs and Fellside fields can be booked without electric and are next to the start location for Hercules/ pickup location for Pegasus, Orion and Lyra.
Pricing is currently £18.00 but will go up to £25.00 closer to the event so book it now.
