From there, the path drops into the quiet beauty of the Langstrath Valley, leading you to the first overnight stop at the Stonethwaite campsite.
- On day two, you’ll follow the Walla Crag trail, where sweeping views of Derwent Water open up beneath you. From there, the path climbs over Castlerigg Fell before descending into the green pastures of St John’s in the Vale for your second night.
- The toughest challenge lies ahead on the final day, as the route ascends to the mighty Helvellyn summit, one of the Lake District’s most iconic peaks, before descending back into Grasmere to complete this unforgettable loop.
