The HIGHLANDER experience is not just a hike, it’s a unique blend of adventure and community.

Share stories and experiences with your fellow adventurers and make lifelong friends along the way. HIGHLANDER campsites are carefully chosen to showcase natural features of each unique destination and provide a comfortable and safe space to recharge after your day on the trail. Bring your tent and your gear, and we’ll take care of the rest!

Each day will feature a variety of campground community activities to elevate your adventure, such as yoga, educational lectures, foot and ankle therapy, astronomy workshops, evening campfires and live music. Gather for a delicious community meal and swap trail stories with your fellow adventurers under the night sky.

Campgrounds are open every day starting at 11am. If you arrive early, you can relax and take in the beautiful surroundings before the festivities begin. During campground working hours, staff will assist you in obtaining your stamp, and getting some water and food. You must collect all passport stamps to receive the HIGHLANDER title. (Please note that if you do not obtain the campground passport stamp, you are disqualified and not eligible for the HIGHLANDER title, pin, patch or certificate. The participant is responsible for ensuring to collect the stamp at each campground.). 

The festivities at camp generally end by 10pm when quiet hours start. Overnight, our HIGHLANDER Ranger will be onsite overnight for your safety. Checkout the next morning begins at 6am (note: Ursa Major must depart between 5:30-6:30am.)

HIGHLANDER is also committed to preserving the natural world around us. Every event adheres to Leave No Trace principles, ensuring that the trails and campsites remain pristine. Participants are educated on sustainable hiking practices and encouraged to be responsible stewards of the environment.
